Tiffany Yim (SHP `06) serves as the Director of Operations for The Fit Kids Foundation (Fit Kids), co-host for the 2nd annual Children’s Champions being held at Stanford Football Stadium on May 16, 2015.

Children’s Champions is a fun, family-friendly event benefiting at-risk children in the Bay Area. The Wender Weis Foundation for Children (WWFC) and Fit Kids are coming together to help make fitness fun. Held at Stanford Stadium, Children’s Champions will feature sports drills, clinics, and demonstrations with Stanford athletes, including members of the Stanford football team, Fit Kids activities, such as an obstacle course, relay races, capture the flag games, arts and crafts, photo opportunities with professional athletes and mascots, pop-up fitness activities for adults, and more.

“The goals for both foundations are closely aligned so the decision to combine forces for this event was obvious. We both want to make a difference in the lives of at-risk children,” explains Amy Wender-Hoch, WWFC’s Founder. “We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to help kids discover fun ways to lead healthy, active lifestyles,” adds Fit Kids’ founder, Ashley Riley.  Both organizations are looking forward to sponsoring the attendance of 150 at-risk children and their families for this fun-filled afternoon at the Stadium.

Ticket and sponsorship packages range from $250 for a family of up to five to attend the main reception and $500 – $15,000 to attend the VIP portion. There are also opportunities to sponsor an at-risk child or family at Children’s Champions. All donors will join in the fight to provide children in underserved circumstances with encouragement and self-confidence.

WWFC’s mission is to improve children’s self-esteem and self-confidence. We strive to do this by funding existing programs, and creating new programs, that provide children living in underserved communities with the gift of encouragement and self-confidence. When children believe in themselves and have others believe in them, they are able to develop the emotional, social, and physical skills that allow them to lead healthy, motivated, and inspired lives.

Fit Kids’ mission is to promote a healthy active lifestyle among children in underserved communities through high quality youth fitness programs and nutrition tips. By offering increased opportunities for physical activity among children, we hope to inspire an early love of sports and fitness that will serve as the foundation for a healthy way of life.
