Capital Campaign Concludes: Securing the Future of SHS and Funding Financial Aid

“It was St. Madeleine Sophie’s vision to educate all children, not just those who could afford to pay tuition.  To remain true to her mission, which is our mission, financial aid is not an option:  It’s a mandate.” – Connie Solari, SHP Faculty.

Our fundamental premise is that the school should be equally open to the most promising students regardless of financial means.  The Living our Mission, Building our Future Campaign for Sacred Heart Schools will make this vision a reality.

The five-year Capital Campaign for Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton has resulted in participation from more than 750 community members.  At this vital time in the history of SHS, Atherton, we are securing the foundation and the future of Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat’s mission to exist for the next several generations of students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Two hundred years ago, St. Madeleine Sophie Barat founded the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (RSCJ).  She pioneered a forward-looking, balanced approach to learning – offering academic rigor in a nurturing environment.  St. Madeleine Sophie’s mission is what our entire Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton community (on and off campus) is committed to in our daily lives.

We thank our entire community for their participation, patience and perseverance as we prepare to honor and preserve the heritage and traditions of SHS, Atherton while evolving in response to ever-changing demands and opportunities in a complex, global world.
